Transformer Phone: cell-phone R2D2 prototype from “Star Wars”

Sometimes it seems that clamshell and monoblock phones we used to have no place in the future. Designers and engineers engaged in designing concepts of cell-phone of tomorrow, surprising us now and then with new intricate combinations of joints and mechanisms.
Please get acquainted with a prototype of cell-phone “Transformer Phone” by Shkinder Maxim. In addition to its the original design, yet another feature of this device is its functionality – “Transformer Phone” can be used as a photo camera or video camera, media player, projector, as well as three-dimensional scanner and holograms reproducer.
As seen in the photo, “Transformer Phone” is equipped with two separate rotary displays. Unfortunately, there is no information yet about the technical features of the model. Nevertheless, we hope that in the nearest future “Transformer Phone” will provide users with the ability to create intricate holographic images, as did the robot R2D2 in the “Star Wars”.
