Gastrovac for cooking and impregnating in a vacuum

Another interesting device is called Gastrovac. It’s the brainchild of the Le Sanctuaire company. This 20 kg monster contains 8 liters of water and may be considered as a pan, vacuum “room” and a heating element at the same time! Let’s put inside this widget a sliced pear. Then pour some wine into another section and push the button. Gastrovac evacuates all the air. Then it plunges pears into the wine and restores the pressure. The liquid fills all the cells of the fruit. And now you have a pear with the taste of wine!

Ok, you can say that those gadgets are way too complicated and expensive. You can do without them. However, microwave ovens have been created though we had ordinary stoves and ovens.
